BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The cross-border e-commerce industry in Shenyang Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has entered a period of rapid development, with a total of 123 cross-border e-commerce enterprises and 27 live-streaming e-commerce enterprises registered in the area, reported Liaoning Daily Wednesday.
As a comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce, Shenyang Area has built a cross-border e-commerce public service platform gathering Pinduoduo, WeChat Pay and other leading enterprises, cross-border e-commerce enterprises alliances, entrepreneurial bases and bonded warehouses. More than 20,000 people are employed in the cross-border e-commerce industry in the area.
The area is expected to launch a direct purchase model for cross-border e-commerce in September this year, with the bonded storage area being extended to 30,000 square meters within the year.
In the next step, the area plans to offer cross-border e-commerce training courses and open international freight flights to facilitate the cross-border e-commerce business in the area.
