BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Futures Exchange renewed its strategic cooperation agreement with China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association on Tuesday in a bid to actively push forward the launching of aluminium oxide futures, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported.
According to the report, this renewal indicates strengthened long-term partnership between the two sides.
Under the agreement, the two sides will continue to work together to jointly promote the high-quality development of China's non-ferrous metal industry and improve the international influence of the country's non-ferrous metals market.
The two sides have worked as partners since April 2014 and made significant achievements in various fields such as product innovation, market training and investor education.
Jiang Yan, head of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, noted that Shanghai Futures Exchange will extend efforts to build a standardized, transparent and resilient commodity trading market to better serve the high-quality economic development.
