BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Guizhou Province has launched 818 projects with a total investment of 547.43 billion yuanin the first five months of 2020, each worth 100 million yuan or more, according to Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
Compared with the same period last year, the total number of projects and total investment surged 10.7 percent and 20.4 percent respectively. Among them, 128 projects were started in May, with a total investment of 72.13 billion yuan.
According to the local goverment, the 818 projects include 133 infrastructure projects, 98 major livelihood projects and 587 major industrial development projects.
Guizhou's Zunyi, Guiyang and Bouyei-Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Qianxinan launched 169, 118 and 108 new projects respectively in the first five months, ranking the top three cities in terms of the quantity of projects in the province. The top three city in terms of total project investment are Guiyang, Zunyi and Bijie with investment of 158.16 billion yuan, 118.03 billion yuan and 52.43 billion yuan respectively.
