BEIJING, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Yunnan Province in southwest China recently rolled out an action plan to develop the rural market and boost the consumption in rural areas, reported the People's Daily Friday.
The plan clarifies that Yunnan aims to increase the rural online retail sales and the total retail sales of consumer goods in rural areas this year by 30-odd percent and 15-odd percent year on year, respectively.
The province will also accelerate the construction of the three-tier logistics system covering counties, towns and villages, with the aim to realize full coverage of county-level logistics warehousing and distribution centers, township-level express logistics service stations and village-level express logistics service points, said the plan.
It also said that Yunnan would vigorously develop the nighttime economy in rural areas to promote nighttime consumption.
Specific measures will include creating nighttime landscape in villages by combining rural characteristic natural resources with modern technologies like VR and 3D, building diversified accommodation facilities that integrates food, entertainment, shopping and leisure, etc. (Edited by Gu Shanshan with Xinhua Silk Road, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
