BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- China CITIC Bank, a major commercial lender, has recently inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), China's largest automotive lithium-ion battery maker, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Monday.
According to the report, this cooperation represents the lender's determination to further serve the real economy, and promote the upgrading of the manufacturing industry and the development of emerging industries.
Under the agreement, China CITIC Bank will utilize its professional advantages to provide comprehensive financial services for CATL to fully support the upgrading and innovative development of the manufacturing industry.
Headquartered in Ningde, southeast China's Fujian Province, CATL is committed on the research and development (R&D) and production and sales of battery products for new energy vehicles and energy storage facilities.
