TIANJIN, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Binhai New Area in north China's Tianjin Municipality on Sunday saw the first batch of new infrastructure projects in 2020 begin construction, involving a total investment of 13.9 billion yuan.
These projects cover a wide range of fields, including big data, smart transportation and industrial Internet. Some involve people's livelihood.
Tencent Internet Data Center project is among them. After completion, it will become an important foundation for the national cloud computing center and cloud service platform, comprehensively support Tencent's business in north China, and radiate national Internet users.
An official with Binhai New Area introduced that Binhai New Area will grab the opportunity of constructing new infrastructure projects to promote the interconnection of high-end industries, further consolidate the foundation for digital economic development, and create new advantages for regional development.
