BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Masteel Group, one of the largest steel makers in China, has recently built the first heavy-duty hot-rolled H-beam production line in China and put it into operation on a trial basis, according to the local newspaper in Anhui on Friday.
On May 27, the first 1,500-tons of high-strength heavy-duty H-beams produced by Masteel have begun to be delivered and will be sent to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
After the products of this production line are available on the market, it can change the status quo of only a few foreign steel companies sharing the global heavy H-beam market and meet the high-end needs of the global users in the fields of construction, railways, bridges, oceans, and power, said the report.
It is noted that Masteel built the first hot-rolled large H-beam production line in China on July 4, 1998. Over the years, H-beams have been a competitive product of the steel group.
Masteel's heavy-duty H-beam production line focuses on high-value-added H-beam products that cannot be produced in China at present, and all products can be produced in accordance with the country's standard, and also in line with the Japanese, American, British and European standards.
