China-backed world's highest hotel starts construction

Abstract : Constructed by China Railway 18th Bureau Group co., Ltd., the world's highest hotel Dubai Ciel Tower project started its construction recently, reported people.cn on Thursday.

BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Constructed by China Railway 18th Bureau Group co., Ltd., the world's highest hotel Dubai Ciel Tower project started its construction recently, reported people.cn on Thursday.

Reaching a remarkable height of 368.6 metres, Ciel Tower in Dubai Marina sets a new global benchmark, with a total construction area of 101,600 square meters. It will be the world's highest hotel building upon completion.

The hotel construction includes 1,100 rooms, a 320-meter high-altitude open-air swimming pool, a 360-meter sky restaurant, and a high-rise sky garden.

The construction of Ciel Tower project will effectively promote local employment, and boost economic growth, thus injecting new momentum into the UAE's economic development.
