SHANGHAI, May 14 (Xinhua) -- InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) said it launched its first online flagship store Thursday, as part of the partnership with China's largest online travel agency Trip.com Group.
The online flagship store allows Chinese customers to search, browse and book rooms from IHG hotels in China. Both companies will also cooperate in their membership systems, enriching the experiences and benefits for their members.
"The partnership between two top players in the travel industry shows positive signs of lodging demand recovery in China post-COVID-19," said Jolyon Bulley, chief executive officer of IHG Greater China.
Ray Chen, chief executive officer of accommodation business at Trip.com Group, said, "We are delighted to work with IHG, as part of this win-win collaboration further enriching the travel experience for our customers."
More than 98 percent of IHG hotels in China have resumed operation as of Thursday, while most IHG hotels under construction have also resumed work. Enditem
