InfoQuest (May 7, 2020) -- When the epidemic has not been fully controlled, if the government wants to relax control measures to allow business operation of some industries, it has the responsibility to balance people's health and economic development, noted Jurin Laksanawisit, Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister of Thailand.
"A balance between health and livelihood is essential to the best possible outcome," said Mr. Jurin.
In terms of economic landscape, it is good to see everything returns to normal soon. Yet we have to ensure that domestic market is recyclable. We have to reshape the models of domestic and foreign trade, export, and investment, and use e-commerce system in more scenarios. Currently, the Ministry of Commerce is taking relevant measures. Online system has been used in the sales, export, and business negotiation of farm produce and fruits in domestic and foreign markets.
Meanwhile, online training courses will be launched to train the next-generation export entrepreneurs for Thailand. Those people are expected to take active strategies in online trade and export, and contribute more to national revenue amid the "new normal" of economic transition.
