BEIJING, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Business service industry has warmed up and showed an rebounding trend in Beijing with enlarging scale of production resumption of key business sectors, said Liu Meiying, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau in a press conference.
The production resumption rates of key enterprises in major industries including chain supermarkets, housekeeping, supermarket, large wholesale markets, gas stations, and secondary agricultural product markets have all reached 100 percent, noted Liu.
The turnover of catering companies in Beijing during May Day holiday was equivalent to 50.9 of that in the same period of 2019. As of May 4, there were 299,700 employees of 519 key enterprises on duty, covering 13 industries including supermarkets, stores, express delivery, supermarket logistics, catering, hairdressing and beauty, accounting for 73.6 percent of total employees of these industries in Beijing.
91.8 percent of stores in Beijing have resumed business.
The gradual recovery of the service industry is expected to drive the development of the whole industrial chain, stimulate consumption and stabilize the economy.
