BEIJING, May 7 (Xinhua) – East China's Jiangxi Province has recently unveiled 23 key tasks on promoting the Belt and Road (B&R) construction in 2020, which involve construction in six areas such as passage, industry, trade, people-to-people exchange, platform and risk prevention, reported yidaiyilu.gov.cn Wednesday.
Efforts will be made to accelerate the construction of land, sea, air and digital passages, forge an opening-up pathway connecting Jiangxi with countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, said the document released by the provincial government.
Jiangxi will take further steps in promoting international cooperation in the fields of industries, enterprises, products, and technology, enhancing the competitiveness in global industrial collaboration.
While enhancing international production capacity development, the province will strive to facilitate trade and investment to expand the global market in B&R countries further.
Vowing to tighten the people-to-people exchange, Jiangxi will give full play to the local ceramic culture, traditional Chinese medicine culture, ecological culture, and other cultural advantages.
It will also energetically build key open platforms such as the smart airport in Nanchang, river port in Jiujiang and inland port in Ganzhou to undertake logistic distribution, industrial clustering and business and trade activities as well.
In addition, it will speed up establishing a risk prevention mechanism involving information exchange, emergency response and public opinion monitoring during the Belt and Road construction.
A total of 30 major countries, 42 enterprises, and 52 cooperation projects are involved in Jiangxi's yearly construction plan of the B&R in 2020. (Edited by Jiang Feifan with Xinhua Silk Road, 346129473@qq.com)
