BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) – A China-Europe freight train named Chang'an, loaded with 625 kilograms of cross-border e-commerce goods declared at Zhengzhou Customs in central China's Henan Province, recently departed from Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, for London, reported Shaanxi Belt and Road Portal on April 28.
Mainly carrying with paper products such as rolls and notepads, the freight train will spend about 19-22 days to get to the destination.
It is the first time that the Chang'an freight train carried cross-border e-commerce goods declared outside Xi'an, which will help to facilitate the integrated business development of the China-Europe freight trains and cross-border e-commerce.
The customs have taken measures such as supporting delivery of cross-border e-commerce goods and parcels by freight trains to make up insufficient air delivery capacity caused by the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak.
Xi'an launched its first China-Europe freight train on Nov. 28, 2013. The city has launched 15 freight train routes linking 44 cities in 14 countries. (Edited by Jiang Feifan with Xinhua Silk Road, 346129473@qq.com)
