BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) – East China's Jiangxi Province is abundant in non-ferrous metal resources and is famed as "Tungsten Capital of the World", "Kingdom of Rare Earth," "Copper Capital of China” and "Hometown of Non-ferrous Metals".
As the end of 2018, the province reported a total of 11.73 million tonnes of copper reserves, 4.7 million tonnes of tungsten reserves and 59,000 tonnes of tantalum reserves.
Jiangxi has developed a complete industry chain for mining and processing non-ferrous metals, and thus becoming an ideal destination for non-ferrous metal investment.
It is noted that the total output of Jiangxi's 3,582 mines achieved 355 million tonnes in 2018, with output value of 34.7 billion yuan, making profit of 3.33 billion yuan.
Last year, Jiangxi reported a regional GDP of 2.48 trillion yuan, up eight percent year on year, and the added value of the metallurgy and rolling processing industry of non-ferrous metals surged 6.9 percent year on year. (Edited by Jiang Feifan with Xinhua Silk Road, 346129473@qq.com)
