BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- A total of 35 major projects in the emerging industries involving investment of 42 billion yuan were contracted in Zhengzhou, capital city of central China's Henan Province.
Those projects cover the areas of 5G, artificial intelligence, life and health, new materials, software service, and energy conservation and environmental protection.
Each project has an investment of over 100 million yuan. Among them, the JD (Hebi) Smart Industry New City project, which takes an area of 1,500 mu (about 100 hectare), plans to introduce over 200 intelligent manufacturing enterprises involving a total investment of 13.4 billion yuan.
A number of leading enterprises, such as Tencent, Nokia Shanghai Bell and Tsinghua Tongfang Co., have also cooperated with local government or enterprises in Henan to develop emerging industries. (Edited by Zhang Yuan with Xinhua Silk Road, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
