MIIT calls on e-commerce platforms to support SMEs in the demand and supply chain

Abstract : The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) called on e-commerce platforms to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from both the demand and supply sides recently.

BEIJING, April 15 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) called on e-commerce platforms to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from both the demand and supply sides recently.

In terms of the supply side, more effort will be made by MIIT to facilitate the demand-supply connection for factors of production through promoting programs of e-commerce platforms including Alibaba, JD.com, Meituan and other platforms. It's also expected to increase the flow and influence of e-commerce platforms while helping SMEs to resume production.

From the demand side, MIIT will support the SMEs to register in the e-commerce platforms to effectively solve the problems of slow sales of products, insufficient orders, insufficient talents, etc., help more SMEs reduce costs in procurement, distribution, financing and other procedures, and expand domestic and international markets online.
