BEIJING, April 13 (Xinhua) -- 100 major projects in central China’s Wuhan began construction last Friday, involving a total investment of 186.6 billion yuan, reported the Xinhua-run cnstock.com.
The 100 major projects are related to industries of electronic information, automobile manufacturing and modern service, covering areas of infrastructure, education and public health.
According to an official with Wuhan Municipal Development and Reform Commission, these projects involve large investments and boast big scales, indicating that companies are optimistic about Wuhan’s growth prospect. The construction is bound to inject new momentum into Wuhan.
In total, 1,326 major projects are under construction in Wuhan this year. Each of them involves an investment of over 100 million yuan. The total investment has reached 2932.54 billion yuan. All the major projects are expected to resume construction by mid April, which will greatly boost Wuhan’s economy, said an official with the investment division of Wuhan Municipal Development and Reform Commissions.
