BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province announced on Sunday a plan to hand out catering e-coupons worth 20 million yuan to local consumers.
Such a move is a part of Jiangxi Province's effort to stimulate local catering consumption hit by the coronavirus outbreak.
Local consumers can apply for the e-coupons on Alibaba's online-payment service Alipay from April 11 to 15.
It is learned that the e-coupons only support consumption at offline stores, and are applicable to all types of catering enterprises registered in Jiangxi and using Alipay.
This program will help promote local catering consumption and the release of consumption potential, and mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the development of the catering industry, said an official from the provincial Department of Commerce.
