BEIJING, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Zhengzhou, capital city of central China's Henan Province, on Wednesday announced a plan to issue e-vouchers worth 400 million yuan to boost local consumption.
Starting from April 3, local consumers can get the vouchers on Alibaba's online-payment service Alipay or an application platform named “Zhenghaoban”, and enjoy a cash rebate in offline payment.
It is learned that the e-vouchers campaign was led by the city government of Zhengzhou with the joint participation of local businesses, Alibaba and Alipay, and the vouchers are divided into two categories, namely the dividend consumption vouchers and social consumption vouchers.
The dividend consumption vouchers target people with subsistence allowances, low income, special difficulties and special treatment, and will be issued by government departments, with 500 yuan per person.
The social consumption vouchers worth 320 million yuan in total. The first batch will be handed out on 10 a.m., April 3, worth 50 million yuan. The second and third batches are in preparation which will contain more special consumption vouchers like shopping vouchers, catering vouchers and car vouchers.
