BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Hunan Province approved construction of 55 major projects this year with total investment of over 500 billion yuan, Hunan Daily reported on Thursday.
According to the Development and Reform Commission of Hunan Province, the projects cover multiple areas including high-end equipment manufacturing, electronics information, automobile and biomedicine.
This is the second batch of projects released by Hunan Province, which mainly belong to industrial projects. On March 5, Hunan Province approved the first batch of projects, involving 105 infrastructure construction projects with a total investment of nearly one trillion yuan.
This year along, Hunan Province plans to invest more than 300 billion yuan to the total 160 projects.
In addition, Hunan Province will start or continue building a number of industrial projects in the fields of new materials, iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, petrochemical, consumer products, modern logistics, global tourism, health and elderly care, cultural creativity, technological innovation, and integrated development of rural industry.
