BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- China's Zijin Mining Group Co. (601899.SH; 02899.HK) announced on Friday that it has, through an overseas subsidiary, completed acquisition of 100-percent equity share in Continental Gold Inc., a company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The acquisition was completed on March 5 (Toronto time). Continental Gold will be officially delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange on March 6, 2020 (Toronto time), according to Zijin Mining.
Formed in 1993, Zijin Mining based in east China's Fujian Province is a leading global mining company specializing in gold, copper, zinc and other mineral resource exploration and development.
Continental Gold is a leading large-scale gold mining company in Colombia, headquartered in Canada and is mainly engaged in the exploration, development, acquisition and evaluation of gold resources in Colombia. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
