China improves tourism service with intelligence technology: report

March 05, 2020

Abstract : China has improved public tourism services by applying the intelligent technology, said a report of tourism economic operation in 2019 released by the China Tourism Academy on March 4.

SHANGHAI, March 5 (Xinhua) – China has improved public tourism services by applying the intelligent technology, said a report of tourism economic operation in 2019 released by the China Tourism Academy on March 4.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has joined hands with Baidu Map to launch an e-map of tourist toilets which in 2019 brought on line 98,000 toilets in 32 Chinese provinces, regions and municipalities. Intelligence technology has given a boost to the Toilet Revolution of China's tourism, the report says.

Meanwhile, tourism informatization and digitalization have been carried out in many places across China, such as the theme exhibition on Internet plus Chinese culture held in south China's Fujian province, China's first culture and tourism digital experience hall and the intelligent tourism cloud platform launched in northern China's Shanxi Province.

The report also suggests that China improve the construction of telecom infrastructure in scenic spots and further strengthen the integration of Internet and tourism, to realize the informatization and intelligentization of tourism services. (Edited by Jiang Feifan; 346129473@qq.com)
