ZHENGZHOU, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Another 14 counties in central China's Henan Province have been removed from the country's list of impoverished counties, local authorities said Friday.
This means all 53 impoverished counties in the province have shaken off poverty, the provincial government told a press conference.
So far, more than 6.5 million rural people and 9,484 villages have bid farewell to poverty in Henan, with the poverty headcount ratio dropping to 0.41 percent in 2019 from 8.79 percent in 2013.
