BEIJING, Feb.18 (Xinhua) -- Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been used in treating 60,107 confirmed cases in China, or 85.2 percent of the total as of Monday, official with the National Administration of TCM said.
Outside Hubei, the epicenter province of the outbreak, TCM-applied treatment of COVID-19 confirmed cases where patients recovered or show improved symptoms accounted for 87 percent of the total, said Jiang Jian, an official with the national administration during a press conference.
As of Monday, more than 3,100 medical personnel from over 630 TCM hospitals across the country have been sent to aid Hubei Province in the fight against the epidemic, said Jiang. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
