BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Beijing, capital of China, is located in the northern part of the North China Plain with four distinct seasons.
It is not only China's political and cultural center, but also the center of global exchange and technological innovation of China.
In recent years, Beijing has launched and implemented 395 items of policies to optimize the business environment, reduced 33 approval processes and cut down 349 approval days.
From January to October 2019, Beijing had attracted 1,356 new foreign-invested enterprises, 1,301 of them were in the service industry, accounting for 95.9 percent of the total. The actual use of foreign investment totaled 13.45 billion U.S. dollars, of which 12.76 billion U.S. dollars were used by the service industry, accounting for 94.8 percent of the total, nine percentage points higher than that in 2018.
