BEIJING, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Latin America has become the second largest destination for China's overseas investment, said Gao Feng, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on Thursday.
Gao made the remarks when answering questions on a press conference held by the MOC.
According to him, as of November 2019, China has made more than 410 billion U.S. dollars of direct investment in Latin America, Latin America has made an actual investment worth more than 220 billion U.S. dollars in China.
The data also shows that, from January to November of this year, the foreign trade volume between China and Latin America reached 286.83 billion U.S. dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 1.8 percent.
In the future, the MOC will help to promote the construction of China-Latin America free trade zone and improve the bilateral economic and trade relationship, Gao added. (Edited by Wang Meijian)
