HANGZHOU, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- The eastern Chinese city of Yiwu, home to the world's leading small commodities market, sent 500 cargo trains to Europe in 2019.
Loaded with 50 containers of commodities, the 500th train left Yiwu for Madrid on Tuesday.
The China-Europe train service has developed prosperously in Yiwu since it was first launched in the city in 2014.
More than 40,000 standard containers of commodities were exported through Yiwu this year, up 63.2 percent year on year.
The service now has 11 routes linking Yiwu with 37 countries and regions across Eurasia.
