WUHAN, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- A study project focused on Chinese liquor processing technology was launched Thursday by China Alcoholic Drinks Association, as an effort to promote the innovative development of the whole industry.
The launch ceremony of the project was held in the headquarters of Jing Brand Co., Ltd., a liquor maker in China.
Song Shuyu, vice president and secretary-general of China Alcoholic Drinks Association, said the solid-state distillation technology is a key process in the production of Chinese liquor and spirits, which can affect much of the quality and value of the product.
The study project aims to streamline the evolution map of Chinese distillers and distillation technology, work out the history of the distillation development in China, build a scientific theory of the solid-state distillation technology, and improve the distillation efficiency so as to enhance the quality and production efficiency of Chinese liquor and spirits.
Wu Shaoxun, president of Jing Brand, said his company has combined traditional distillation method and modern technologies in production, expecting this new study project to bring about innovations in distillation equipment and methods.
