InfoQuest (September 2, 2019) -- According to the Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO) of the Ministry of Commerce, CPI/inflation rate in August was 102.80, a year-on-year increase of 0.52 percent (the previous market expectation was an increase rate of 0.85 percent), yet dropping 0.19 percent compared with July, 2019. In the first eight months this year (January-August), the average increase of inflation rate was 0.87 percent.
In August, the core CPI was 102.61, a year-on-year increase of 0.49 percent and an increase of 0.09 percent compared with July, 2019. In the first eight months this year, the average increase of inflation rate was 0.55 percent.
The index of food & non-alcohol beverage was 104.89, a year-on-year increase of 2.63 percent, yet dropping 0.30 percent compared with July, 2019. The index of non-food and beverage was 101.63, a year-on-year decrease of 0.13 percent and a decrease of 0.67 percent compared with that in July 2019.
