Abstract :  Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality started to provide local residents with firsthand experience with 5G mobile phones and services, marking that the city’s 5G business entered a new stage.

CHONGQING, July 31(Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality started to provide local residents with first hand experience with 5G mobile phones and services, marking that the city’s 5G business entered a new stage.

On Tuesday, the first batch of about 20 5G experience-based users in Chongqing officially received 5G cards and 5G mobile phones and these 5G mobile phones cover domestic brands, such as Huawei, ZTE and Xiaomi.

Chongqing is among China's first batch of 5G demonstration application cities and is expected to officially put the 5G network into operation for commercial use before the end of September.

At present, the city has achieved continuous 5G coverage in some commercial area,  universities and stadiums.
