BEIJING, July 11 (Xinhua) -- North China's Zhangjiakou city, one of the host cities of the 2022 Winter Olympics, lately issued an implementation plan for the development of ice and snow industry in 2019.
According to the plan, the city will speed up creating a home-leading and world-renowned whole-chain ice and snow industrial base with focuses on the development of ice and snow equipment R&D and manufacturing, sports, culture and tourism, talent training, and modern services to achieve agglomeration development.
Zhangjiakou City will strive to create 50 provincial-level ice and snow sports special schools and Olympic education demonstration schools, and build 80 municipal-level ice and snow sports special schools. The city plans to train more than 100 sports and sports talents, and 1,000 campus counselors and social sports instructors. The popularity of youth Olympic knowledge and ice and snow sports is expected to reach 80 percent.(Edited by WangTengfei)
