BAGHDAD, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Ambassador to Iraq Zhang Tao said on Thursday that China is ready to encourage more enterprises to take part in Iraqi reconstruction to promote the solid development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Zhang made the remarks during his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers Hamid al-Ghazi, according to an embassy statement.
For his part, al-Ghazi said the Iraqi government welcomes Chinese companies to invest in Iraq.
He also confirmed the readiness of the Iraqi government to offer all kinds of cooperation and logistic facilities for the Chinese companies, according to a statement by the secretariat of the Iraqi Council of Ministers.
