BEIJING, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Yunnan province saw its trade with countries along the Belt and Road (B&R) routes rose 9.5 percent year on year to 62.19 billion yuan in the first five months, according to Kunming Customs.
The province's trade volume with B&R countries during the period accounted for 71.4 percent of its foreign trade, which totaled 87.16 billion yuan in the first five months, up 13.6 percent over the same period of last year.
Specifically, Yunnan's exports from January to May reached 36.21 billion yuan, up 27.4 percent year on year, and its imports were 50.94 billion yuan, up 5.4 percent year on year, according to Kunming Customs. (Edited by Su Dan)
