SHANGHAI, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Jing'an, a downtown district of Shanghai, announced here Monday the launch of a Global Service Provider Program, a program to get together and culivate high-end global service agencies.
It is not only a strategic measure taken by Jing'an District to push its service industry towards the high-end and international development, but also an important action to expand the influence of "Shanghai Service", said Ma Chunlei, deputy secretary general of Shanghai Municipal Government and director of Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission, on the launch conference held in Shanghai on June 10.
Yu Yong, head of Jing'an District government, stated that by carring out the program, Jing'an aims to build a high-end service industry clustering capable of allocating resource worldwide, and create a functional platform serving the whole country, facing international market and linking up domestic and overseas market.
A work group on promoting the development of Shanghai's professional service industry and a professional service association are established during the conference.
On the launch conference, Zhou Zhenhua, president of Shanghai Global Cities Research Institute, Zhang Zhaoan, vice president of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Gong Weili, vice chairman of KPMG China, and Denis Depoux, senior partner of Roland Berger also delivered speeches.
