MILAN, May 28 (Class Editori) -- Back in 1947, Fontanot was just a craft workshop that produced wooden ladders for Rimini customers. Today Fontanot is a global brand that identifies itself with Rimini's high-design interior staircases that are conquering the Chinese market.
The three brothers Fontanot brothers, Francesco, Laura and Michele, at the helm of the company founded by their grandfather, have signed a commercial distribution agreement with Yuexing Group, a company founded in 1988 and headquartered in Shanghai, which was selected in 2017 for the Xinhua News Agency's National Brands Project, also active in the real estate sector.
"This commercial distribution agreement is strategic as it allows us to expand into a broad and diversified market, where we believe that in the near future we will be able to establish a joint venture with the Yuexing Group," commented CEO of Fontanot Massimiliano Pianacci.
Fontanot was already present in China with a prestigious 150 square meter showroom, built in the Nanhai district, where there is also a cluster dedicated to construction companies, in which the main Fontanot collections signed by Yuexing are exhibited alongside the railings. A great novelty in the Chinese market, being that of Fontanot the first stair showroom in the entire Chinese area.
2019 will be a year of further expansion for a brand that has attention to detail in its DNA. In fact, the Fontanot stairs are the result of careful teamwork. From design to installation, the staircase is modeled by interpreting needs and transforming the buyer's ideas, guaranteeing the quality, design and technology of the product.
It then starts from a tailor-made project based on a specific request and, through multiple stages of refinement, every detail is studied in terms of design, materials, surface treatments, compliance with current regulations, and finally the realization of a complete "industrial" product with an eye on quality materials, accuracy of the manufacture and efficient pre and post-sale services.
The Fontanot Group closed 2018 by exceeding 30 million euro in turnover, +12% compared to 2017, of which 70% was exported to 60 countries. Production is concentrated in four factories, of which three are based in Italy and one in Romania.
'You ask, we create' remains the common thread that allows Fontanot to work with the most famous archistars in the world and with thousands of interior designers, but without neglecting the do-it-yourself segment, with design collections developed for the e-commerce channel which records an annual +30% of online turnover.
Alongside the development in China, the three brothers Francesco, Laura and Michele, president, vice-president, and product manager respectively, are planning a new phase of growth also in America where the company works with the company Arkè Inc.
There are four drivers of growth: the contract, in which it is engaged with custom-made projects and large orders; retail, for which it offers every interior solution through a vast range of models and services; the world of DIY that proposes every solution of scale easy to assemble and the FontanotShop for online sales. Meanwhile, the range of products is expanding because, along with the stairs, railings, balustrades and windows will join the list of product offering. The future is under construction.
