InfoQuest, (May 22, 2019) -- The Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO) under Thai Ministry of Commerce unveiled Thailand's international trade statistics for this April. According to the data, the total export value was 18.555 billion U.S. dollars, down by 2.57 percent while the forecast decline was 2.5 percent. And the total import value reached 20.012 billion U.S.dollars, down y 0.72 percent. As a result, Thailand experienced a trade deficit of 1.457 billion U.S.dollars.
Overall, the country's export value in the first four months of this year totaled 80.543 billion U.S .dollars with a contraction of 1.86 percent, while the import value was 79.993 billion U.S. dollars, contracted by 1.08 percent, which led to a trade surplus of 549 million U.S. dollars.
