BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- A new generation of database and artificial intelligence (AI) research center was built in the Jiading industrial zone of east China-situated metropolis Shanghai on May 17.
The research center was co-founded by Jiading district government of Shanghai, a research institute of the State Information Center directly affiliated to China’s top economic planner - National Development and Reform Commission, and domestic real-time big data analysis firm – Borruidata.
Via crafting Jiading industrial zone into a smart industrial internet zone and speeding integration of AI and the real economy, the research center aims at cultivating new regional economic growth engines.
The center provides data processing and real time big data analysis technologies with independent intellectual property rights (IPR), likely to facilitate application of international standards to databases in China.
What’s more, the plentiful application scenes in Jiading industrial zone serve as a proving ground to accelerate expected technological breakthroughs in precision processing and analysis of big data in China.
Jiading industrial zone is a demonstration base of new industrialization in China. It aims to introduce and cultivate AI firms boasting core technologies to boost cross-sector integration of AI with other sectors. (Edited by Duan Jing, duanjing@xinhua.org)
