BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Baoye Group Co., Ltd., a large Chinesetate-owned building and metallurgical works general contractor, started constructing the Talara modularized transform furnace project in Peru on May 9.
The company released the news on website of its parent company – Metallurgical Corp. of China Ltd., saying that building the modularized transform furnace is an importance part for Peru’s state oil company Petroperu to expand the refining capacity of its flagship oil refinery - Talara oil refinery from 65,000 barrels per day to 95,000 barrels per day.
Being one of the fastest growing economies in Latin America, Peru is one of China's most important trade partners in the continent.
Currently, Shanghai Baoye Group focuses on opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative and is actively exploring the related market via its expertise as a petrochemical industrial furnace technology services provider. (Edited by Duan Jing, duanjing@xinhua.org)
