BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- 50 quality plots and 34 quality building projects were launched at an investment promotion meeting held Wednesday in Qingpu District, Shanghai, indicating that Qingpu District has started making efforts to build itself into an integrated development demonstration zone along the Yangtze River Delta.
23 quality projects were signed during the meeting with investment totaling 53.48 billion yuan. Among them, 13 are each with an investment exceeding one billion yuan.
“Qingpu has currently acquired 216.3 hectares of untransferred land, 36.5 hectares of transferable industrial land and 179.8 hectares of profit-oriented land.” said Yu Xufeng, deputy Party chief and head of Qingpu District.
According to Yu, the newly-launched 50 plots, totaling 169.8 hectares, locate in the industrial park, business area, software information park and other areas in Qingpu.
It is reported that Qingpu will forge three to five 100-billion-yuan industrial clusters, and six to eight functional platforms, form ten to 20 10-billion-yuan leading enterprises, and attract and nurture a batch of enterprises with great development potentials in the future. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
