BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Da Mi floating photovoltaics(PV) project, the first of its kind in Vietnam and built by Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) has completed grid-connecting, announced the company recently.
The project is located in Da Mi Reservoir, Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam. With a total installed capacity of 47.5MWp, the project is the largest under-construction floating PV project in Southeast Asia.
The Da Mi floating PV project was constructed in an existing power station reservoir, which greatly saved land use. Meanwhile, water reflection and water cooling effects will significantly increase power generation and play a positive role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The completion of the project will help drive local economic, social development and expand employment, said local relevant person in charge.
