BEIJING, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Siemens has recently inked memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Belt and Road (B&R) construction promotion center under China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in Beijing on further B&R construction cooperation, reported People's Daily Online.
Under the MoU, the promotion center will work with Siemens to advance dialogues and cooperation between Chinese and German industries especially in sectors such as energy, transportation, manufacturing and digitalization.
The two parties will also join forces on third-party market project cooperation and construction project investment and financing cooperation, while co-advance the application of digitalization in the B&R construction.
The NDRC values such cooperation with Siemens, according to deputy director Ning Jizhe, noting the MoU is expected to assist more Chinese enterprises on deepening cooperation with Siemens and bring more benefits for people along the B&R routes.
The Belt and Road Initiative connects the people and the economies through solutions that transcend national borders and helps the world to achieve social prosperity, an idea highly recognized and supported by Siemens, said Siemens AG president and CEO Joe Kaeser, noting that the company promises cooperation in larger span with Chinese industries for real benefits.
