InfoQuest (March 19, 2019) -- Mr. Adul Chotinisakon, director general of the Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), revealed that a new certification system for license approval and import/export certification of rice exports has been launched. Private rice exporters can fill out the application form for A.2 license via the system. By sharing digital data among relevant agencies, this system aims to promote exports by Thai private rice exporters.
The DFT hasadjusted the application form page (Form A.2 Rice for Export by Private Exporters) in the new system. Rice from private exporters is classified into three categories: rice by private exporters (standard rice); rice by private exporters (sample rice); rice by private exporters (ordinary rice). Meanwhile, when applying for the license, exporters should indicate only one category in one form (Form A.2 Rice for Export by Private Exporters); otherwise the application formcannot be saved or submitted.
