BEIJING -- China is likely to accelerate rollout of detailed polices on the Belt and Road Initiative. Measures on promoting trade safety and convenience are expected to be launched soon, according to a report of the Xinhua-run China Securities Journal.

Chi explained that initiating a new round of free trade zone construction can help China oppose trade protectionism. He suggested that bilateral, multilateral, regional or global free trade zones should be established along the Belt and Road route.
By far, China has signed memorandum of understandings (MOU) or cooperative agreements with over 30 countries since the "Vision and Actions on Jointly Building Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road" was issued last March. Moreover, China is expected to further reduce trade costs and promote trade convenience along the route of the Belt and Road, added Wang.
