NANJING, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Orchem Co. Ltd., a leading printed circuit board (PCB) maker from the Republic of Korea (ROK), plans to set up its China headquarters in the city of Changzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province.
With an investment of 50 million U.S. dollars, Orchem will establish its China headquarters in Changzhou Binjiang Economic Development Zone, local authorities said Tuesday.
The facility, including a manufacturing base and a research center, will specialize in high-quality electronic chemicals used in PCB manufacturing to cater to Chinese customers.
The project is a strategic move to help the company become the industry leader in Asia, said Lee Jae-Hyeon, president of Orchem, which entered China 10 years ago.
"Changzhou is confident in delivering one of the most favorable business environments and providing the best support for Orchem's expansion in China," said Ding Chun, mayor of Changzhou.
Orchem counts many of the world's renowned firms among its customers, including Samsung, LG and Foxconn.
