BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- China saw 15 of major production goods monitored by the government post lower prices in the middle 10 days of February compared with the previous 10 days, official data showed.
Of the 50 goods monitored by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), including seamless steel tubes, gasoline, coal, fertilizer and some chemicals, 15 goods saw their prices drop during the period, with 22 posting rising prices and 13 with unchanged prices, according to the NBS.
Chemical products and agricultural production goods saw an overall decline in prices, while prices of ferrous metals and coal products rose or remained flat in general.
Liquefied natural gas, coke and pigs led the rising trend, while lead ingot and zinc ingot saw notable price drops.
The reading, released every 10 days, is based on a survey of nearly 1,700 wholesalers and distributors in 24 provinces and regions.
