BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Vocational education will become a key area for Sino-French education exchanges and cooperation to prepare the skilled personnel needed for manufacturing and modern service industries, according to a work conference on overseas study recently held by Chinese Embassy in France.
The embassy will also continue to promote technical and vocational education cooperation among Sino-French friendship cities and provinces, according to Yang Jin, minister counselor of the embassy’s education office, reported Economic Daily.
Yang emphasized that cooperation in the field of Chinese and French education has yielded fruitful results in recent years.
The welcome and support by French government and all walks of life on the China proposed Belt and Road Initiative have laid down the foundation for further strengthening exchanges and cooperation between China and France in the field of education, Yang noted.
It is noted that 46,000 Chinese students studied in France in 2018, and more than 10,000 French students studied in China. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
