CHONGQING, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- As a greeting of the upcoming Lantern Festival, a group of traditional artists from Tongliang in Southwest China’s Chongqing gave a gorgeous fire dragon dance performance Sunday in front of over 60,000 spectators in Nantou County, Taiwan.

Artists performed fire dragon dance in shower of molten iron sparkling like fireworks, creating amazing scenes to win the audience's exclamation and applause.
This performance widely enjoyed and warmly welcomed by people in Taiwan has been held for the third consecutive year. This time, a total of seven performances will be given for five nights from February 17 to 22 to entertain the local audience.
It is reported that the first two performances in 2017 and 2018 attracted more than 2 million local people to watch live or through the media.

Magistrate of Nantou County Lin Mingchen said that the Chongqing Tongliang fire dragon performance is among the most loved and atmospheric events to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Taiwan, and more importantly, it will help approach the hearts of the people on both sides of the Strait.
