BEIJING, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- North China's Hebei Province unveiled a blue paper on tourism development on Tuesday, proposing to build a world tourism brand jointly with Beijing and Tianjin by virtue of Xiongan New Area, in a bid to foster the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei tourism.

According to the blue paper, Xiongan New Area will exert great influence on the joint development of tourism in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, helping narrow the gap in the industry between Hebei and the other two cities and build a new highland for innovation and reform in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei tourism.

It is reported that the three places have been actively promoting the coordinated development of tourism by measures such as introducing related policies, building demonstration areas and unified tourism management service systems and carrying out a series of related promotion and marketing activities.

However, the blue paper also notes that factors such as administrative barriers, imperfect coordination mechanisms and uneven tourism qualities still restrict the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei tourism.

Thus, it suggests that corresponding measures should be taken to solve these problems, such as innovating the top-level design, enriching tourism products and improving service quality, and cultivating cross-regional market players and enhancing joint marketing of the tourism market by leveraging Xiongan New Area.
