BEIJING, Jan.14 (Xinhua) -- Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has been warmly welcomed in European countries and received more positive responses in Europe.
At the just-ended second session of the Paris Forum on the BRI, many French people showed their interest in the BRI and offered their suggestions.
Under the framework of the B&R Initiative, China-France pragmatic cooperation has achieved gratifying results. Trains connecting China's Wuhan and Yiwu cities with France's cities such as Lyon and Dourges have been launched. The international trade city invested by Chinese enterprises has brought new opportunities for the development of Marseille Port of France.
Moreover, Belt and Road construction has received more support from French political circles. French President Macron even called for the whole of Europe to participate in the Belt and Road construction during his visit to China last year.
The positive response that Belt and Road Initiative harvests in France is the epitome of its charm in Europe and the whole world. More countries such as Britain, Germany and the Netherlands are attracted by the initiative.
Netherlands has a strong interest in the B&R construction, said Dutch Prime Minister Rutte when attending the Boao Forum for Asia annual conference 2018.
British Prime Minister Teresa May said that B&R cooperation has a great impact and she hoped that Britain and China will carry out B&R cooperation.
The reason why Belt and Road's fascination keeps rising is that the initiative is in line with the trend of the times and provides a sharing opportunity. With the deepening of the B&R construction, its global influence and appeal will surely continue to increase, said analysts.
