BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- North China's Tianjin Municipality recently unveiled its largest Internet data center (IDC) -- Zanpu data center, and the center has signed strategic cooperation agreement with 11 companies, including JD Cloud, China Unicom (Tianjin) and data center of CEICloud.
The IDC is built by Tianjin Zanpu Technology Co., Ltd. at Binhai Technology Park, according to Tianjin Daily. Equipped with 24 modular rooms, it enables 40,000 to 70,000 servers to operate at the same time, providing a highly reliable infrastructure support for big- and medium-sized Internet enterprises, financial industry, government affairs, smart city etc. It is the first data center of such capacity and quality in Tianjin.
The newly-built IDC covers an area of nearly 10,000 square meters, with a total construction area of over 20,000 square meters. It is designed in accordance with international standards of GB50174-A and T3-T4 standards, and is the first and only data center in Tianjin to receive the Class A grade of China Quality Certification (CQC).
